Application for an Auditor License
Candidates who want an auditor license will have to go through a series of interviews. An auditor license can only be issued by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia and applications to be made at the Accounting and Management Division.

Registration of an Audit Farm
The owner or partner of the firm must be approved auditors or holders of valid auditor licenses registered with the Ministry of finance Malaysia. The name of the firm has to be approved by the Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Send a completed form together with approval letters from both MIA and the Ministry of Finance Malaysia. The registration fees are RM 500.00 for one certified true copy of the document. If there are any changes in the details of an audit firm, the said firm is responsible for announcing those changes within one month of the change.

Business name application and procedure
A business name represents a style or topic that is used to recognize the identity of the business carried out. A business name can be categorized into 2 types: 
Personal name as stated in the identity the card is not required to apply for approval of the business name.

The trade name is the name of the proposed business and must obtain prior approval from the registrar of business at Malaysia.
Complete the business name approval form with three proposed business names. Business names will be approved according to priority and will attach to the new business registration form at the counter. The person responsible is either the business owner or partner must submit the application to counter or through an online website at www.ssm.com.my
A business name should not be too long more than 50 characters.

The use of numbers, signs, and symbols are not allowed. Business name registered must be in accordance in accordance with the type of business. The business name registered cannot be changed or altered once the business is registered.


Business name to be registered with the consent of Minister
The business name registration cannot be without the consent of the minister. Business shall not be registered by a name which should not contain any word with the Yang di-pertuan Agong, the Raja Permaisuri Agong or the Ruler of a state or member of the Royal Family or Royal patronage or federal or state  government department, a statutory body, authority, any Asean, commonwealth or other foreign government or the United Nations or other International organization, any society or body incorporated by Royal charter or Association, Union, foundation, trust, forces and offensive to race or religion or any equivalent expressions or offensive to member of the public. The registrar with the consent of the Minister may restrict the usage of any other names which in his opinion is undesirable and the registrar shall cause such names to be published in the Gazette.

Renewal of the Business Registration and procedure
To renew the business registration certificate by submitting the application for the renewal of the business. To complete the application form for the renewal of business registration. One of the owners or partners will sign the form. A person who submits the application to counter or through the online website at www.ssm.com.my

The requirement, Registration fees and other proceedings
Only the owner or partner will submit the application. Certificate of business registration may be renewed at any time before the expiry date up to 12 months. To pay fees to give a personal name and identity card RM 30.00. Registration of trade partnership name RM60.00. Registration of branches RM 5.00 in each branch. Business information print-out RM10.00

Renewal of business registration can be made for a period of 1 year and not more than 5 years. Business registration certificate given within 15 minutes after payment. Any person carry out business without the renewal registration has committed an offense will be liable to a fine not exceeding RM50,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 2 years or both.

Termination of Business and procedure
Businesses will be terminated for the following reasons are cessation of the business, bankruptcy, death of the owner, pursuant to a court order. Complete the notice of termination for a registered business. Every owner and partner must sign the form; all submit the application in counter or through online.
Documents to be attached are business registered certificate, photocopy of owner or partners identity card, photocopy of a death certificate, if any owner or partner died, photocopy of a court order.

Registration fees and other proceedings
No fees are needed in termination of business but for business information print out RM 10.00. Termination to be registered within 30 days, business not expired is allowed to submit a notice for termination of a registered business.
Confirmation letter on expiring can be requested from SSM with a payment of RM 10.00. Result of application given within 15 minutes of after payment. Any person who being responsible for his business or personal representation or next of kin or remaining partner fails to file a notice of termination will be liable to pay fine not exceeding RM 10,000 and punishment not exceeding 1 year or both.
